Forecastle Festival Initial Lineup Announced

Forecastle Festival Initial Lineup Announced

I know where I’m going to be July 13-15…Louisville, Kentucky, checking out a pretty incredible lineup of bands at the Forecastle Festival.

Yes, I am completely biased because my Husband’s band, Clutch, is playing. But I would be awed by this lineup even without that happy icing on the cake.

For its 10th anniversary, the Louisville, Kentucky-based Forecastle Festival has called in Louisville superstars My Morning Jacket to guest curate the lineup.

In addition to My Morning Jacket’s headlining performance, the festival will feature Sleigh Bells, Girl Talk, Wilco, Beach House, Flying Lotus, Atlas Sound, Real Estate, Washed Out, Dean Wareham playing Galaxie 500, Neko Case, Andrew Bird, Atmosphere, Tanlines, Wye Oak, A-Trak, and more. The fest will take place from July 13-15 at Louisville’s Waterfront Park.

If you could pick your dream line up at a music festival, what would it be?

For me, pretty much this one. If we added Trombone Shorty and the Beastie Boys, I would fear I had passed from this life through the Pearly Music Gates.

I'll have to give some thought to my ultimate dream festival lineup, but this year's Hangout Fest lineup comes mighty close. I *CAN NOT BELIEVE* both Jack White and Skrillex were in my state and I didn't get to go :( Please, please, PLEASE let me know when you are able to come to Atlanta and/or Nashville for a fest, show, or other event. I'd love to make the drive up to meet you after all these bloggy years!

And you may be able to convince Ri to drive over from her new home to see Justin Townes Earle!
