What’s Your New Music This Month?
October 26, 2009
Ever since Austin City Limits, I’ve been on a huge Bon Iver kick. I also got a magic Iphone accessory that lets me plug in my Iphone, charge it, and listen to music via an FM station all at the same time. I am my own radio station, y’all.
I’ve been home for almost four whole days, which is awesome after Austin, Las Vegas, and Boston. I’m leaving for LA in the morning, but delayed a day due to everybody having the flu. That’s right, everybody. Except for Dan, thank goodness.
And he better not get it, as he leaves for tour the day after I get back.
That’s about it, just keeping one foot in front of the other, working on a few different projects, some of which will launch next week.:) I did my first article for Indie Biz Chicks, and am so excited about the work Crissy is doing over there to promote women operating in business on a level playing field.
So what’s new in your world? What kind of music do I need to load on my iphone? And what home flu remedies can you throw our way?:)

Well, my Italian Grandmother always had us gargle with a shot of whiskey when we were sick. (Yes, even the kids. I have memories of that from before I went to school.) Burned like a mofo, but it killed every damn germ we had, I think! (And yes, we got to swallow it.
)
On the iPhone: The Flaming Lips & Neutral Milk Hotel. Oh, and throw some Monty Python on there just for giggles. (I mean, how can you NOT sing along to “Always Look on the Bright Side of Life”?)
Have a great trip – call when you get home, and make sure the battery is fresh!

Don’t know if you’d like them, but I’ve really gotten into Hollywood Undead here lately! The lyrics are way superficial, but the music’s catchy…
