Have you ever sat up late, flipping channels, and stopped on a Lifetime movie that you just couldn’t walk away from?
Yeah. Me too.
Or paced the floor with a colicky baby while watching thirtysomething reruns on Lifetime, while coveting a Volvo?
OK. That may have just been me.
But my point is, we’re all Lifetime Moms. We’ve all heard the tagline, “Television for Women”, but I didn’t realize how apt it is until I began working with this brand 6 months ago.
Lifetime has a commitment to programming and advocacy that not only enriches, inspires, and informs women, but can actually change policy as it relates to women and families. They’ve worked on campaigns to get out the vote and challenge drive through mastectomy practices, both causes dear to me.
And, yeah, they have Project Runway.:)
So I’m very proud and excited to share that I’m part of the Lifetime Moms team, co-editing the Just For Fun channel with my friend Beth Feldman.
My posts will be featured there twice a week, and I will have Lifetime ad network ads running on R and R Mama.
What does that mean for the content of this site? Not much. We’ll still be talking about music, moms, wigs, and revelry. I still won’t cuss, cause my mom still reads it. (Hi, Mom!)
I am reimbursed for providing content on LT Moms and hosting ads here, but do not anticipate any editorial changes. If that changes, or there is sponsored content on R and R Mama, you will, as always, know about it. (See “Disclosure” for more info, as well as a great Johnny Cash song.)
Let me introduce the other ladies who will be providing original content for Lifetime Moms:
And I’m more than open to feedback on what kind of topic you’d like to see covered in the “Just For Fun” category. Cause y’all know me, it would be mosh pits and cupcakes all the time…oh, and bags. Hayden-Harnett bags. (Lord, deliver me from their summer sale…I promise to never buy another Trophy bag again, just make them stop ending those emails- KTHNXBAI)
xoxo, L
