1.You’ve ever tried to text your kids’ teacher.
2.Your mom follows you on Twitter and friends you on Facebook.
3. You try to friend your kid on Facebook and are DENIED!
4. Your other kid knows what Twitter is. (and is under five.)
5. Said child has ever sternly reminded you, “Don’t blog this, Mom!” (Or tweet, or FB status- these little Digital Natives know all the ins and outs!
6. You see your friends on Facebook far more often then you do in real life- even those who live around the corner from you! I mean, come on- all this digital interacting takes time!
7. When you do see them, you take many pictures for your blog and tweet liberally!
8. You freely expound upon the virtues of Whrrl vs. Zazzle vs. Posterous vs. Tumblr…and your husband knows what you mean.
9. When a random thought crosses your mind, you think, “Man, I gotta buy that domain name…”
10.Your husband asks if you would have an internet chip implanted in your brain, given the option. You SAY “Of course not!” and act somewhat affronted, but secretly the wheels are turning.
11. You struggle to write something longer than 140 characters or a Facebook Status update.
I KNOW you can add to this list. Holla!

You and your husband use FB chat on your respective laptops to discuss the kids while you’re all in the same room.

Not a mom but DG and I sit at the kitchen counter and g-chat each other from our laptops. Too lazy to talk–I need a bluetooth neural implant!

Your 4 year old could operate your iTouch before he was even potty trained and now he has his own playlist.
Your 2 year old told you to “Google it.”
Not that these happened in my house or anything…

When you see something on the news and say, “Oh that’s old news-people were talking about that on Twitter last night.”
The school sends you a text when your kid needs to be picked up.

Oh my gosh, I love it- we’re definitely on the same wavelength. I had another one this morning when W took some of his Grandma’s medicine and my first instinct wasn’t to call the doc, it was to Google it. (Followed by doc call, of course.:)

Your 2 yr old sees you on the computer and says “You making a dot-com?”
Or, he’s playing on his toy laptop and says he’s on Facebook.
Uh-Huh.

Darlin’ – Mom 2.0 just happens. 3.0 needs a plan (don’t ask me what that is). 4.0 is when son #1 invites you to Mafia Wars, you get hooked and need assistance fighting the biggest battle of your life against a far more powerful Don and son #1 runs off to Arizona to play baseball and drink beer while I’m getting my ass kicked! Geez!

My mother is not that technical and does not understand most of these technologies. But if your mom is 2.0 tech savvy, Wow look out. You will not be able to keep many secrets.
