Oh yeah, baby- It’s Tuesday. Business Time…
June 23, 2009
My younger brother sat me down in front of Youtube one day and said, “I’m not leaving until you watch these videos.” (My brother does that a lot- he also can quote entire episodes of Saturday Night Live verbatim. It’s his special gift.)
Well, this time he was spot on. (Not like those “Can this be Microwaved” videos- those were not my cuppa.) He introduced me to “Flight of The Conchords”, the New Zealand pop sensation (snort) who are not quite sweeping the nation in their fictional show. They’re also very talented musicians, and milk out the nose funny. This video is a live version of a song from their first season that never fails to have me laughing at the screen and quoting one liners for the next several hours.
Thanks to @tastelikecrazy for pointing out this video to me last night on Twitter!

It took me ages to succumb to Flight of the Conchords because everyone kept raving about how much I’d love it, which almost always means I won’t. And then someone slipped some into my coffee or something and it’s been one liners ever since. I puffy heart them.

Does it make me evil that I don’t like this show? My heart, like Susan’s, is puffy. But it’s from the chemicals in Orange Crush.

I have yet to watch this series, which is a shame since I have HBO.

Susan: I was like that about Harry Potter! (Can you believe it??? HARRY POTTER, who I now now is totally who I would be in love with if I were a young witch at Hogwarts! Me and Harry=MTB, and I would have never ever known!)
Corey: Yes, love, This is the final tipping point, you are now evil. OK, no, not really, but you will be hogtied and forced to watch FOTC at our BBQ until you start quoting one liners in a kiwi accent. My brother will sit on you.
Kim: Oh girl, you need to sit down with some on demand: it’s business time! LOL.
Wendy! I hope you enjoy them: in the context of their show, they’re even funnier. Thanks!
