Discover Diane Birch’s “Bible Belt”, help a charity

Yesterday was the first day Diane Birch’s “Bible Belt” was available in full through Itunes. It was pretty amazing to watch it climb up Itunes, eventually landing at #10 on the overall album chart. For a sense of context, that’s how this looks:

Pretty cool. Dave Matthews, Kings of Leon, and…Diane Birch. But, there’s even more cool news. Yesterday, S-Surve launched a program called “Discover and Download”.

See the widget in my right hand sidebar? Everytime someone buys “Bible Belt” through the widget, $1 will be donated to the Susan G. Komen Foundation. For those of you who followed my Mom’s battle earlier this year, you’ll know why that means a lot to me. But different people have different causes.

So there are different widgets. Choose a custom Diane Birch widget from one of six charities: Autism Speaks, March of Dimes, Keep A Child Alive, Share Our Strength, SOS Children’s Villages and Susan G. Komen for the Cure.

You can post Diane’s widget on your blog, website or social networking page. It’s very simple: Just Click on the ‘Share’ button on the banner of your choice, then click on ‘Grab This Banner’ to copy the embed code for your blog, Facebook page, or other social networking site.

And, every time the album is bought through that widget, S-Curve donates $1 in your name. If you know the music industry, you know that $1 is a consequential amount from a record sale. I love that Diane is giving back to a cause that is dear to her, SOS Children’s Villages, and giving others a chance to give back to causes that are dear to them.
