It seems like there are so many new opportunities for writers to develop a platform these days (twitter, Facebook, blogs, etc) and I'll be eager to read Christina's book to see what she recommends. One of the good things about putting the platform into place first is that you won't be scrambling in the months before the book comes out -- and of course I'm sure it makes all the difference when it comes to getting a book deal/bigger advance.
