Man. First off, Bakerton Group show was great on Friday night. It was also amazingly wonderful to meet J Robbins, after hearing for years from Dan about what a special guy he is. It’s all true.
I bought the Caverns CD, which J recorded, and Hammer No More The Fingers, which I will be checking out next car trip. I didn’t catch Deleted Scenes, but I can tell you they had killer T-shirts.:)
The fundraiser brought $1200 to help the Robbins family directly for expenses towards Callum’s needs, and $300 to Fight SMA to accelerate research for a cure. God willing in time to help that precious little man. To read more about Callum, check out J’s blog:

Thanks to all of you who came out, it was lovely to see so many familiar faces.
In other, much more petty and sucky news, I got pulled over this morning. AND it was my fault. AND I had my husband in the car to point it out.
Here’s the scene. We cleaned out the basement- kids at grandparents, so we cranked it out. Minivan full of castoffs, we’re on our way to our favorite dumpster and Salvation Army. I make a left hand turn, then see lights in my mirror. SO I pull over. The police lady comes to the window- seems very nice, has triple pierced ears, for what that’s worth.
Her: Do you know why I pulled you over?
Me: (Pointing) Because HE’S not wearing his seatbelt.
Her: Ummmm, no.
(Husband bangs head on dashboard.)
Her: It’s actually because you made a left hand turn with a red arrow.
Me: REALLY??!!!??! (This is what happens when you drive on autopilot. Hey, at least I wasn’t on my cell phone!)
Her: So, can I just see your license and registration, please?
Me: Ummmmm, yeah…my license is actually on my dresser…
So here’s the good news: We’re not in jail, and they didn’t tow my minivan!
Here’s the bad news: Turning on arrow, $140 + 1 point. Driving with suspended tags (yes, apparently Montgomery County is serious about their emissions program) an additional $140. Seatbelt and driver’s license, she let us slide, because I guess she thought our moment was bad enough. So that was nice of her.
Dan is getting emissions tested as we speak, and hopefully doesn’t get pulled over on the way, cause she said a state trooper would so have towed us and made us walk.
The moral is: NEVER CLEAN YOUR BASEMENT!
Theme song for today: I wanna be sedated, Ramones
